Texas Teams Going To The 7-on-7 National Tournament

The Richland Rebels and the Mesquite Skeeters will both compete in the Adidas 7-on-7 National Championship in Atlanta on July 30-31. The Rebels defeated Mesquite 35-32 to win the Division I (4A/5A) tournament on Saturday in College Station at the FSN Southwest 7-on-7 football state championship tournament

Regional competitions are being held at five sites and the top two teams from each region will advance to the national championship at Silverback Stadium in Atlanta, Ga., July 30-31.  In addition to the action on the field, adidas will provide interactive challenges for fans and participants, including a “Race Reggie” feature that allows all comers to go head-to-head with New Orleans Saints star Reggie Bush in the 40-yard dash.    Last summer, Florida’s Pahokee High School captured the tournament title at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles.
