Amarillo Tascosa Does Not Waste Any Time Hiring A New Head Coach

Class 5A Amarillo Tascosa has hired Ken Plunk to replace Heath Parker as their Head Coach. Parker left just under a week ago to become the Head Coach at 4A Pampa after going 18-24 in his 4 years with the Rebels.

Plunk spent his last two years at 4A Canyon Randall where he compiled an overall 21-5 record. He also led the Raiders to back-to-back District 3-4A titles.

Tascosa was 3-7 overall last year and was 2-7 in District 2-5A play. They are currently on a 2 year losing streak and have had only one winning season in last 11 years (2006).
