Katy Cinco Ranch State Qualifying Tournament Pools

Hear are the pools, teams, stats, key players and of course my predictions for the Katy Cinco Ranch State Qualifying Tournament
POOL A: KATY CINCO RANCH, THE WOODLANDS, CYPRESS RANCH, HOUSTON STRAKE JESUIT
The host Katy Cinco Ranch has gone 6-2 this year and came close to qualifying last week at Rosenberg Terry but lost in the semifinals to Fort Bend Dulles 32-15. The Woodlands was a surprise qualifier last week being the runner up at the Cypress Creek SQT. They are 3-5 overall in SQT play. Cypress Ranch has gone 0-3 and their closest game was a 14-39 loss to Cypress Springs. Houston Strake Jesuit has gone 1-2 in SQT play this year.
Mike's Pick: Katy Cinco Ranch
POOL B: HOUSTON STRATFORD, KATY, LANGHAM CREEK, CYPRESS SPRINGS
Houston Stratford is 5-4 in SQT play this year including a 33-26 win over pool opponent Langham Creek. Katy was very impressive last week winning the Rosenberg Terry SQT. They look to have the athletes to go far in the playoffs again this year. Langham Creek qualified in week one at Cypress Falls and have an impressive 9-2 record in SQT play. Cypress Springs has a 3-4 record this year after losing in the semifinals to Jersey Village last week. This pool basically comes down to Stratford vs. Springs since the other two have already qualified.
Mike's Pick: Houston Stratford
POOL C: KATY TAYLOR, FORT BEND DULLES, ROSENBERG TERRY, HOUSTON MEMORIAL
Katy Taylor surprisingly is making their first SQT appearance. Look for QB Lee Rodgers to lead the way. Fort Bend Dulles was the runner up at Rosenberg Terry last week. They are 4-4 this year in SQT play. Terry beat Dulles last week in pool play 26-20 but Dulles was the team that advanced to the semifinals. Terry has gone 3-3 in pool play this year. Houston Memorial went 1-2 last week losing two close ones.

POOL D: CYPRESS CREEK, CYPRESS FAIRBANKS, TOMBALL, KATY SEVEN LAKES
Cypress Creek is 6-6 in SQT play this year making it to the semifinals at the Cypress Falls and Texans (Sunday) SQT's. They have a win over pool opponent Cypress Fairbanks 14-13 in last weeks action. Cy Fair is already qualified with a 6-2 overall SQT record. They had a 40-38 win over pool opponent Tomball at the Cypress Falls SQT. Tomball, led by WR Jordan Leslie has already qualified being the runner up at the Texans (Sunday) SQT. They have and 8-3 record this year. Katy Seven Lakes has to feel a little bit cheated. They had two instances at the Texans (Sunday) tournament where they thought they were robbed. LSG agreed with them in the case where their win over Langham Creek did not count. They are 2-1 in pool play and look for them to take out their frustrations on Cypress Creek who advanced from their pool at the Texans (Sunday) SQT even though they only had a 1-2 pool record while Seven Lake was 2-1 in pool play.
