Southlake Carroll State Qualifying Tournament Pools

Here are the pools, teams, stats, key players and of course my predictions for the Southlake Carroll State Qualifying Tournament.

Pool A: Southlake Carroll, Colleyville Heritage, Flower Mound, Mansfield Legacy

The host Southlake Carroll came close last week at the Colleyville Heritage last week but lost by 1 point to Abilene Cooper in the semifinals. Colleyville Heritage has already qualified as they were the runner up at their SQT last week. They also lost to Abilene Cooper but in the championship game. Flower Mound went 2-1 last week and will field a good team. Mansfield Legacy is making their first showing at an SQT this year.

Mike's Pick: Southlake Carroll

Pool B: Arlington Lamar, Mansfield Summit, Irving MacArthur, North Crowley

Arlington Lamar has already qualified beating Austin High in the semifinals last week at Waco Midway. Mansfield Summit is 0-3 in SQT play. Irving MacArthur once again will bring one of the most talented teams. They went 3-1 last week at the Colleyville Heritage SQT. They lost to Colleyville in the semifinals. North Crowley went 1-2 last week including a 25-29 lost to pool opponent Irving MacArthur.

Mike's Pick: Irving MacArthur

Pool C: Arlington Martin, Richland, Midlothian, Plano East

Arlington Martin has gone 3-3 in pool play this year and will try to join 3 other Arlington schools at the state tourney. Richland was last years champion and they qualified last week at Frisco Liberty. They look to be a team on a mission. Midlothian has gone 2-1 in SQT play including a 21-18 win over pool opponent Arlington Martin. Plano East went 1-1 last week that included a 18-21 loss to Richland.

Mike's Pick: Plano East

Pool D: Arlington Seguin, Stephenville, Temple, Euless Trinity

Stephenville did not make it out of pool play last week but it will be hard to keep them out of the state tourney. Temple is tough but will not bring superstar RB Lache Seastrunk. Euless Trinity is not know as a passing team but will bring the athletes. Arlington Seguin will struggle to compete.

Plano East vs. Stephenville
