No one expected Wylie to go from 5-6 in 2007 to the state championship game in 2008. What do the Pirates have in store for us this season. With Knott, Harper and Chesier behind a good offensive line leading the offense and Ball dominating on the defensive side, can they make it back to back appearances at the state championship game? They play is a very tough district battling Allen and Plano for the district 8-5A championship. Look for them to go 7-3 or 8-2 for the regular season and be a tough out in the playoffs. It will be tough to duplicate what they did last season because now they are the hunted and not the hunter.
