Coaching Changes — Van Horn

Van Horn announced they will promote offensive coordinator Domingo Vento to head coach and athletic director. Vento replaces Joe Salinas who resigned to take the same position at Corpus Christi West Oso.
Salinas spent the past three seasons at Class A Van Horn. He went 15-17 during his time with the Eagles. Coach Salinas ended his career at Van Horn on a 2 year winning streak (13-9 record). 2008 ended a 5 year losing streak and was also the first winning season in 9 years. Vento came with Salinas to Van Horn in 2007.
Van Horn will be a member of District 5-1A Division II along with Iraan, Marfa, McCamey and Wink.
