Coaching Changes — Bloomington

Bloomington has named Randy Perez as their next athletic director and head coach. Perez will replace Paul Baird who submitted his resignation and will take an administrative position at Hutto.

Baird came to Bloomington in March of 2009. The Bobcats went 1-9 record last season and was 0-5 in District play.

Perez has been the head football coach at Corpus Christi Ray for the last two seasons where he had a combined 10-12 record.

The two seasons before that he was the head coach at Austin Lanier where he had a 6-14 record. Perez has also been an assistant at Temple and Justin Northwest. His overall head coaching record is 16-26. He will become Bloomingtons seventh

head coach in eight seasons.

The Bobcats will be a member of District 15-2A Division II along with Boling, Danbury, East Bernard, Tidehaven, Schulenburg, Wallis Brazos and Weimar. Bloomington hasn't had a winning season since 1998 and hasn't made the playoffs since 1999. They are currently on a 37 game district losing streak.
