Maud has hired Charlie Coker as their new athletic director and head coach. Coker will replace Josh Finney who has left to take over at Teague.
Finney have been with the Cardinals for four seaons and has led them to an overall 37-12 record. Coker has been an assistant the past four years at Sulphur Springs. He has also been a coach at Edgewood, Prosper and Lone Oak. His father Jim is an assistant coach at Quinlan Ford.
The Cardinals will be part of District 9-1A Division I along with Big Sandy, Hawkins, Overton, Price Carlisle and Simms Bowie.
