Coaching Changes — San Angelo Grape Creek

San Angelo Grape Creek has hired Chad Worrell to be their next Athletic Director and Head Coach. Worrell will replace Brad Bowden who left the school to take the same position at Early.
Bowden was the head coach at Grape Creek for the past three seasons. He compiled an 8-22 overall record and went 2-8 last year. Worrell comes over from Celina where he was the defensive coordinator for the last 5 years.
Grape creek has struggled since it opened in 1998. The 4 wins in 2008 tied a school high since 1998. They will be a member of District 2-2A Division I along with Alpine, Colorado City, Crane, Denver City, Kermit and Wall.
