Notes:
The Mules were upset in Bi-district play last season by Amarillo River Road who is now in their district. The loss was a huge surprise considering that they were the defending Division I champions and were undefeated before the game. TE/DL Washington may be the best player in Class 2A and will be a leader on both sides of the ball. The Mules are in a very tough district and will have to earn a playoff spot with teams like River Road, Bushland and Littlefield to compete with. Expect them to go 7-3 or 8-2 and they could make a run as far as the quarterfinals after that.
