Games Of The Week

* Austin Anderson defeated Austin McCallum 48-34 in the "Taco Shack Bowl"

* New Braunfels won a close one 24-19 vs. New Braunfels Canyon in the "Wurst Bowl". New Braunfels now leads the all-time series 23-6 and their Head Coach Chuck Caniford became the #3 all-time winningest Coach at New Braunfels with a win.

* San Antonio Churchill won the "Gucci Bowl" vs. San Antonio Clark 21-7.

* Friendswood QB Peter Maetzold passed for 375 yards, 4 TDs and scored 2 more rushing during their 49-28 win over Angleton. the Mustangs scored 35 points in the 1st quarter.

* Brownwood's Jaxon Shipley returned two punts for TDs of 59 and 80 yards during their 56-19 thumping of Gatesville.

* Wimberley beat Cuero 49-42 in a wild one to snap the Gobblers 33-game home winning streak.

* Colleyville Heritage overcame a 14-point deficit very late in the game and then went on to defeat Duncanville 58-52 in triple overtime. Duncanville led 38-24 after scoring a TD with 49 seconds left but Heritage returned the kickoff back for a TD to make it 38-31. They were than able to convert on an onside kick. From there they scored with 3.6 seconds left to send the game into OT

* Great Lake Showdown -- Austin Lake Travis vs. Austin Westlake. Lake Travis trailed 10-21 before scoring 22 unanswered 2nd half points to win 32-21 in front of an estimated 30,000 fans at Royal-Memorial Stadium.

* Lufkin kicked a FG with 3 seconds left to get a hard fought 17-14 win over the John Tyler Lions.

* Aledo defeated Stephenville 20-3 in a matchup of #2 vs. #3 in Class 4A

* Clear Creek WR C.J. McElroy rushed for 149 yards and 2 TDs, had 85 yards receiving and 1 TD, threw a TD pass and returned a kickoff for a TD in their 49-14 win over Pasadena Memorial.

* Longview won the 100th meeting between them and Marshall 31-9. Longview is now 54-41-5 all-time vs. Marshall and has now won 10 in a row and 12 of the last 14.

* Defending 5A DII Champion Abilene held off upset minded Belton 36-27. Belton led 20-13 early on behind QB David Ash who finished the game 31-of-46 for 379 yards. Abilene who has won 22 straight regular season games and 32 of their last 34 rushed for 372 yards behind the Sims cousins to get the win.

* Ingram Moore snapped their 40 game losing streak with an 8-7 win over Natalia. The 40 consecutive losses tied the for 14th on the all-time list.

* #38 5A Klein Forest @ #5 5A Katy Cinco Ranch
LSG was there!! This was a great game. The score was tied at 21 each at halftime behind a balanced Cinco Ranch attack and Klein Forest QB Matt Davis. Davis took a hit right before halftime that kept him out of the 2nd half. Along with that, Cinco Ranch looked to be in better condition as the Cougars won it 42-21
