Archer City Lures Castles Away From 3A Bowie

2011 Coaching Change: Archer City Wildcats

Old Head Coach: Steve Smith — Left for 2A Post. He led the Wildcats to a 45-33-0 record over the last 7 years. His other head coaching job was at 1A Anton 1998-1999 where his teams went 15-6-0. He was also an Offensive Coordinator at Mineral Wells (2000-2003) and at Midlothian (1996-1997) and an Assistant at Cleburne (1994-1995).

New Head Coach: Josh Castles -- From 3A Bowie where he led the Jackrabbits to a 11-10-0 record over the last two seasons. His 6-4 record last season was only Bowies 2nd winning season over the last 20 years. Before going to Bowie he was at 1A Seymour where he had a 8-4 record over 1 year. This will be his 3rd head coaching job in 4 years. He is a 1995 Archer City graduate.

Team News: The Wildcats are 14-9 over the last two seasons.
