The Abilene Wylie Bulldogs History Page Has Been Updated
The Bulldogs will once again be led by Head Coach Hugh Sandifer who will be entering his 26th season on the sidelines with the Abilene Wylie. Coach Sandifer currently ranks #51 on the all-time coaching wins list. He has a 216-87-4 record all-time and with the Bulldogs.
Wylie had a down year in 2010 going 5-7 which was their first losing season in 17 years. They still made the playoffs though making it to the Regionals. Look for the Bulldogs to get back to their winning ways in 2011 even though they play in a tough district and play a tough pre-district schedule.
Their Pre-District schedule includes tough outs like Stephenville, Graham, Waco, Lucas Lovejoy and vs Lubbock Estacado. That schedule gets them ready to take on tough district opponents like Snyder and Brownwood.
The Bulldogs will depend on 1st Team All-District 6’ 5” WR Richard Bloomer and the Districts Defensive Newcomer of the Year JR DB Garrett Martin.
