Waco’s Darrell Harris Scores 6 Touchdowns

The Waco Lions jumped out to an early lead and never gave it up as they defeated the Austin Maroons 52-35. Waco won last years opening season tilt 34-32.

Waco got a big night from running back Darrell Harris who ran for 327 yards and scored 6 touchdowns. Austins superstar wide receiver Cayleb Jones also had a big night catching 10 passes for 146 yards. He also scored a rushing touchdown and threw a touchdown to his little brother. He also had two punt returns for touchdowns but both were called back because of penalties.

Jones now has 175 career receptions and 2,286 receiving yards. The 175 receptions puts him into 26th place all-time.
