Mike Says: Lufkin has owned this series lately. Longview is coming off a tough loss last week in one of LSG's games of the week vs. Allen. Longview is at home but it will not matter. The PANTHERS win a close one 27-24!!!

Chris Says: This is a classic trap game for the Lufkin Panthers - coming off a big win against the Dragons of Nacogdoches with Longview reeling from their loss to Allen.   That is IF this were a regular game.  This is as big an East Texas classic as any so all bets are off anytime they strap it on.  Who wants it more this week?  Is it Longview, set on showing the state that they are the better squad or is it Lufkin set on reminding Longview that they are always up for an East Texas showdown?  Longview handled Tyler John Tyler better than Lufkin did AND they did it on the road.  LONGVIEW takes the home field advantage and sets the season back on track with a victory over Lufkin 34-30!!!
