The Cavaliers Win 14th Consecutive

The Cavaliers from Austin Lake Travis won their 14th consecutive game with a big district win over Leander Rouse. This time they used a running game that finished with 448 rushing yards. The ground game was led by Varshaun Nixon who had 226 rushing yards. The Cavaliers are now 8-0 on the season and 4-0 in district play. Rouse falls to 2-5-1 and 0-4. Their quarterback Baker Mayfield completed 9 passes on 16 attempts for 95 yards and 3 TDs. For the season, he now has 137 completions on 198 attempts for 2,135 yards and 26 touchdowns. He has two great receiving targets. Wide Receiver Zach Austin had only 1 catch but it was for 18 yards and a touchdown. For the season, he now has 41 receptions for 810 yards and 12 touchdowns. Wide Receiver Griffin Gilbert had 3 catches for 42 yards and 2 touchdowns. For his career, he now has 149 receptions for 2,346 yards and 28 touchdowns.
