Longview won last years contest 38-35. All 4 playoff teams are set in this district. Along with DeSoto and Longview will be Mesquite Horn and Mesquite. DeSoto will be the Division I #1 team while Mesquite will be the Division I #2 team. Longview will be the Division II #1 team while Mesquite Horn will be the Division II #2 team. Mike Says: Longview was featured in back to back Games Of The Week when they played Allen and Lufkin. DeSoto also showed up strong in their Game Of The Week against Round Rock Stony Point. I had Desoto ranked higher in the pre-season but Longview looks to have things going their way. The LOBOS win 31-24!!!

Chris Says: This is one of the tougher ones to pick this week. DeSoto has gotten all the press this year and for the most part they have deserved it. I am one of the bandwagon jumpers that has been singing their praises this season after I watched them dismantle the Rock Rock Stony Point squad. Longview has been playing lights out despite a stumble early against Allen, but has looked solid in big wins against the teams in this always-tough district. I'm not jumping off the DeSoto bandwagon just yet though, the EAGLES win 35-28!!!!
