Former NFL Player Takes Over For Maroons

2012 Coaching Change: Austin Maroons

Old Head Coach: L.D. Williams –  Resigned after leading the Maroons to a 11-21 record over the last 3 seasons.

New Head Coach: Mike Rosenthal — A former NFL offensive lineman with the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings.  He was promoted after being the offensive line coach for the last 2 seasons.  This will be his first head coaching position.  He has also been an assistant at St. Andrews.

Team News: The win totals have gone from 8 (2007) to 6 (2008) to 5 (2009) to 4 (2010) to 2 (2011).  The most wins in any season since 1979 has only been 8 wins.    The Maroons have not won a playoff game since 1957.
