Mike Says:

In Region I, Idalou (2010 Division II Champion) moves up to Division I with their enrollment increasing from 278 to 309.  In Region II, Godley will be tied for the states largest Class 2A team with 439.  Pilot Point drops to 2A after being in Class 3A for the past 2 seasons.  They were the 2009 2A Division I champions.  Kirbyville in Region III is another team dropping back down to 2A.  They were the runner ups in their only 2 seasons in Class 2A (2008 & 2009) since 1979.  In Region IV, state runner up Hempstead moves out of that tough 14-2A district.

Chris Says:

Some really good drop-ins from 3A - Pilot Point and Kirbyville should make immediate impacts in Regions II and III respectively.   Hempstead looks to be going from the frying pan into the fire as District 15 isn't any easier than District 14.  All of Region IV seems rough and will have their playoff teams battle-tested by the time that "second season" rolls around.  All of Division I will produced a solid cast of playoff teams.
