Five Texas high school football coaches have been recognized as the Lone Star Gridiron 2011 Texas High School Football Coaches Of The Year. Each year Lone Star Gridiron takes this opportunity to present the top coach from each classification that has not only led his team to a remarkable season, but often exceeded expectations. As in previous years, the voting was very tight, but in the end five coaches stood out among their peers.
“These guys are the life blood of Texas high school football,” stated Chris Doelle, co-founder and Managing Partner of Lone Star Gridiron. “Coaches are in a unique position to do so much positive for the lives they touch,” he added.
“Mighty” Mike Wright, co-founder and COO of Lone Star Gridiron testified, “There is probably nothing harder about award season than choosing Coach of the Year. To win this, says a lot about a coach.”
