Coaches Comments:
We should have a very good team by the end of the year. With our lack of experience, we may start out slowly. District Outlook: Shiner should be very good. Three Rivers had a good run in 2A last year. Kenedy made the playoffs last year. It should be a very competitive district

Returning Lettermen: 12

Returning Starters: Offense: 4 Defense: 4

Key Players:
* OL/DL Roman Leal -Big Strong Lineman 1st Team All-District 57 tackles
* Clay Vesely -Very athletic
* Will Malek -Started 12 games on offensive line as a soph. 1st Team All-District
* Kenny Kocian-2-year starter at a number of positions HM All-State OL (TSWA) 1st Team All-District LB
* Benny & Michael Garcia-Brothers who have transferred in from Palacios - Good athletes with a great work ethic
* Kaleb Leal - Started several games last year as a freshman
* TE JR Thomas Parks 1st Team All-District

Notes:
* Lose 20 seniors from last years Regionals team

  • Mike Says: The Indians are once again a Top 10 team even though they only have 8 total starters coming back. Their game against Shiner will be a good one and will be for the district championship. Look for them to go 8-2 or 9-1 in the regular season and then a trip to at least the Regionals. Mason along with Shiner will be top competition in the region.
  • Chris Says: The Indians are building a minor dynasty down in Ganado.  They consistently put a winning team on the field and this year will be no different.  Expect Mason to be a stumbling block once again in the playoffs, but this may be the year the get past.
