2012 LSG Texas High School Football Team Preview — Rankin Red Devils

Team: Rankin Red Devils (5-6-Man Division I)

1st varsity season: 1928

Stadium: Red Devil Stadium (Capacity: 1635)

Enrollment: 54 -- smallest in the district out of 4 schools

Coach: Shannon Williams

Coaches Comments: Very hard District with a lot of talent. Should be a great district race. Our team is made up of mostly seniors and depth could be an issue. District Outlook: Marfa is new to six man, but they have a lot of talent. Garden City has a new coach with a new offensive scheme. Fort Davis has a fantastic spreed back and should be even better as a senior.

Notes:

Mike Says: The Red Devils are the district favorites again this year. Once in the playoffs it will be hard to get out of the Region with Ira and Throckmorton in the way. If they get past those 2 then a state championship might be in sight.

Chris Says: I'm not going to be so bold as to say state championship because there are a lot of obstacles between week 0 and that title. I expect Rankin to do well and taking another district title is not out of the question.
