Mike Says: The Tigers will have one of the best weapons in the state with QB Swoopes. An offense that average 32 points per game last year returns 8 starters. The bad thing is that the defense gave up 29 points per game. Expect more high scoring games again this year. Look for them to go 7-3 or 8-2 in the regular season and battle Gunter for the district title. No one wants to play this team in the playoffs...Swoopes is that good.

Chris Says: When you think of Whitewright, you think of Tyrone Swoopes. This quarterback is red hot and will soon be taking snaps for the University of Texas. For now though, he is delighting fans of the Whitewright Tigers. Although they graduated a lot, they bring back the bulk of their offensive starters and that means big numbers for the scoreboard. If the defense steps up, I can see a district title, but if they have to rely on just the offense, they will probably fall to second place. In any event, the Tigers will be dangerous come playoff time.
