  • Mike Says: The Highlanders lost a heart breaker to Dallas Skyline last season in the Quarterfinals. Not only could they meet up with them again the playoff, they open the season against them in what is sure to be a featured LSG game of the week. This years team will continue their winning ways with a strong offensive line led by two Colorado commits in Sam Kronshage and Jonathan Huckins. Wide receiver Taylor will provide the fireworks for the offense. The defense will be solid as always and will feature a strong secondary. They have great non-district games against Fort Bend Hightower and Katy to go along with the Skyline game. They will be tested. Look for them to go 8-2 or 7-3 in the regular season and win the district title. Region II is loaded with great teams like Allen and Skyline to name a few so it will be tough to advance out of the region but this team has a great shot do move on.
  • Chris Says: The Woodlands is a program that is always in the running, or if they are down, its not for long.  The bring back a ton of talent from a team that shocked a lot of folks last year.  As Mike mentioned, the game vs Dallas Skyline was one of the great ones and if their rematch in the season opener is even close, look for a great game.  The Woodlands will be tested early and often, but will still emerge as the district champs for 14-5A.  Once in the playoffs, look for the Highlanders to play tough before falling to one of the great programs.
