Mike Says: The Rockets have one of the states longest winning streaks and they should have no problem keeping that streak alive. They return a lot of starters from last years team. They will have to do it though with a new head coach. Longtime head coach Jim Rackley retired and Kerrville Tivy head coach Mark Smith steps in. Smith brings in a new coaching staff along with a new offense and defense. The Rockets will start the season off with a bang going up against the 5 time defending 4A state champion Austin Lake Travis and Cibolo Steele who has played in the championship game for the past 2 seasons. The strength of this years team will be the secondary where defensive backs Williams and Flowers will lead the team. Look for them to go 8-2 or 7-3 in the regular season and battle Smithson Valley for the district championship. They will be a Division I playoff team that will go 2 or 3 rounds.

Chris Says: Converse Judson bring a lot of experience back on each side of the ball and is looking really good in the pre-season. I expect them to do very well this year. They have some amazing matchups on their schedule that should be a blast to watch. The Rockets will fight it out with Smithson Valley for the district title and then head into the playoffs with a wealth of experience against good squads. While I am at it, I want to give a shoutout to QB, Jonathan Garcia, class of 2013 who is part of the Brotherhood of Texas High School Football! (see below)
