  • Mike Says: The Bobcats return only 9 lettermen from that state runner-up team last year. This year they will rely on their defense which held 9 opponents to 10 points or less last year. Defensive lineman Roberts will be a force on the line. Look for them to go 8-2 or 9-1 in the regular season and win the district championship. Once in the playoffs, they should at least make it to the Regionals. Cameron Yoe will be their top competition in the region.
  • Chris Says: Hempstead will be hard pressed to repeat last seasons performance.  They bring back only 9 and graduate a lot of talent.  It is doubtful they can pull off a perfect regular season because non-district matchups like East Bernard and up-and-comers like Halletsville will certainly challenge them.  They will hit the playoffs relatively unscathed, but run into a some tough competition a few rounds deep.
