Notes:
* Won their 2nd state championship last year
* They will miss LSG's Class 1A Player Of The Year Reginald Davis

  • Mike Says: The Tigers averaged 56.6 points per game last year. This is a pretty young Tenaha team but they are bringing back 18 lettermen and 13 starters from last years championship game. The offense will be high scoring again behind Junior RB Gregory while the defense will have LB Roland leading the way. Look for them to go 8-2 or 9-1 in the regular season and win the district title with a close one over Mount Enterprise. Once in the playoffs they have a good chance to go all the way again. It could even be a re-match vs. Munday.
  • Chris Says: Tenaha notched their second State Championship in three appearances last season and it was largely on the legs of Reginald Davis.  While he is no longer on the team, the Tigers have experienced winning and THAT is contagious.  Tenaha brings back a ton of starting experience and should continue their winning streak right up to late in the postseason.  The best thing that could happen to this Tigers team is for them to lose the district to Mount Enterprise.  That will re-stoke the fires in time for a solid playoff run.  If they stay undefeated, they could trip at the wrong time in the postseason.
