Aledo Bearcats vs. Dallas Highland Park Scots

Texas high school football game of the week

Aledo vs Dallas Highland Park

at SMU

Aledo Bearcats (0-0)

LSG TEAM PREVIEW
LSG All-Time Games Of The Week Record (3-2)

Dallas Highland Park Scots (0-0)

LSG TEAM PREVIEW
LSG All-Time Games Of The Week Record (1-0)

This is the first meeting between these two teams.

  • Mike Says: Aledo is the defending 3-time champion. The big difference is that this year they do not have Jonathan Gray. Highland Park comes in led by legendary coach Randy Allen who topped the 300 career win mark last year. This one will be a classic. I am already voting this one in as a 2012 Game Of The Year. The SCOTS win it 32-31!!
  • Chris Says: Aledo has been a better team as of late, but Dallas Highland Park is the better program.  Jonathan Gray is gone and while I don't expect the Bearcats to fall completely off the football radar, they will fall some.   DHP is a team that I predicted will make a state title run this season and it begins right here.  The SCOTS take the win 35-20!!

Are you a fan of either team? Call the voicemail line and leave a message about the game (713) 568-6361. Tell everyone at your school to do the same – then listen in future Lone Star Gridiron Shows to hear them all!!!

I don’t think anybody has any idea about the level of talent on the offensive side of the ball for Aledo. Pate Davis and company are ready for whatever is thrown at them.

Matthew, call the voicemail line and let us know what you’re talking about. If it comes in before we record tonight, it will be in this weeks’ show. If after that, it will go in next week.

Either way, we love to hear feedback and especially when we are wrong.

713-568-6361 – it records up to three minutes (if you don’t like the first take, just hang-up and do it again, we will take the best one and put it in the radio show.)

I’ll let the game speak for itself. I think it will be close but we are ready for the Scots.

I think the better program had it’s boys better physically conditioned , ready for a little contact, and won the game very convincingly. Little respect for Coach Buc please.
