  • Mike Says: Both of these teams have already been featured in a Game Of The Week this year. Lexington has actually been featured twice. The Rattlers bring in QB Kadarius Baker, WR Solomon McGinty, WR Austin Collins and LB Jaylyin Minor. They had a very impressive 30-8 victory over Coldspring-Oakhurst (who just knocked off La Marque last week) in week 1. The Eagles bring in QB Kogan Garrett (591 yards 6 TDs), RB Cash Flott (299 yards), LB Tyler Meyer (42 tackles), DB Logan Meuth (41 tackles) and Jason Washington (2 INTs). They have beaten 2 very good teams in Crockett and Franklin but fell to one of the top 2A DI teams in Cameron Yoe. You have to hand it to Lexington for scheduling a team with almost 3 times more students than they have. They will give them a good game but Navasota is one of 3A's best. The RATTLERS win it 40-28!!
  • Chris Says: You gotta love when a matchup like this comes along.  I mean, we didn't want to feature these two teams again so soon in a Game of the Week, but you can't ignore when this type game comes up.  Although both teams are playing rock solid and will be a factor in the postseason, I am more impressed with what Navasota has done thus far.   I expect the RATTLERS to end the week at 4-0 with a 38-24 victory!!!

Are you a fan of either team? Call the voicemail line and leave a message about the game (713) 568-6361. Tell everyone at your school to do the same – then listen in future Lone Star Gridiron Shows to hear them all!!!
