Week 0 : Hightlight Games Of The Week

San Antonio Churchill 36, Northside Clark 29

Churchill WR Dimitri Flowers scored 3 TDs leading them to a 36-29 "Gucci Bowl" victory over Clark. Clark made it interesting with a 17 point fourth quarter in front of 8,632 at Comalander Stadium. Churchill has now won three straight for the first time in the series. The "Gucci Bowl" series is now tied 15-15-2 all-time.

Bellevue Washington 31, Euless Trinity 24

Trinity scored with 4:25 left in the fourth quarter and converted the 2 point conversion to tie the game at 24. In OT, Bellevue scored on their possession but Trinity had a pass get intercepted during their drive to end the game with a 31-24 loss.

Allen 24, Southlake Carroll 0

Allen opened its new $60 million stadium a memorable one. They shut out the defending Class 5A Division I state champions Southlake Carroll 24-0 in front of a standing room only crowd of 21,766. Carroll entered the season with a 16 game winning streak and the Class 5A AP No. 1 ranking. Their scoring streak also ended at 211 games which ranks 9th all-time.

Klein Oak 63, Langham Creek 56 OT

Klein Oak outlasted Langham Creek in OT shootout 63-56 at Klein Memorial Stadium. Klein Oak finished the night with 551 yards of total offense, while Langham Creek rang up 471 total yards.

El Paso Franklin 41, San Angelo Central 40

For the third consecutive season, this game came down to the very last play of the game. Central has one more chance with a long pass into the end zone but it fell incomplete to give Franklin the victory. Central led this one 40-28 with 7:06 remaining in the game before Franklin scored the games final 13 points to steal the victory.

Tyler John Tyler scored 5 touchdowns of 30 yards or more and got a 35-21 win over Lufkin at Earl Campbell Field. Tyler quarterback Greg Ward passed for 389 yards and 3 touchdowns. The game was highlighted by an 80 yard pass to Fred Ross on a busted play on the first snap of the game. Ross ended up with two catches for 118 yards. The Lions totaled 506 yards for the night. Lufkin suffered only its third defeat against Tyler in the last 14 seasons. Tyler now lead the all-time series 35-28-3.

Austin Lake Travis 47, Converse Judson 13

Lake Travis quarterback Baker Mayfield threw 5 touchdowns and Lake Travis never trailed in a 47-13 victory over Converse Judson at D.W. Rutledge Stadium. The Cavaliers took a 31-7 lead into halftime. Mayfield finished the night with 413 yards on 23 of37 passing. Receiver Zach Austin had 8 receptions and 232 receiving yards.

Dallas Skyline 42, The Woodlands 28

Dallas Skyline quarterback Devante Kincade scored six touchdowns and had 376 yards of total offense to lead the Raiders past The Woodlands 42-28. Skyline scored 21 unanswered points in the 4th quarter to get the victory.

Melissa 18, Celina 13

Melissa began their first season in 3A in grand fashion with a come from behind 18-13 victory over 3A Power Celina. The Cardinals scored a touchdown with 7 seconds remaining in the game to get the win.
