  • Mike Says: Jasper has really turned things around since head coach Darrell Barbay took over this year. They were 36-39 since 2005 before he arrived. Carthage head coach Scott Surratt is well on his way to leading them to their 6th consecutive 9+ win season. Jasper has had only one away game this year. Carthage is one of the favorites to make the championship game. They are battle tested playing top notch competition in non-district. Their two losses were by a total of 6 points to pretty good 4A teams. The district championship is on the line. The CARTHAGE BULLDOGS win it 34-18!!
  • Chris Says: You gotta love these East Texas showdowns.  It seems like every single week there is another battle of the behemoths.  Sure Carthage has owned this series recently, but they are dead tied all time and you can bet both teams know it.  Their all-time record against each other, bragging rights for District 20-3A as well as which is the better Bulldog is on the line.  Carthage has faced tougher opponents, so for that reason, I think they are more prepared.  CARTHAGE BULLDOGS win 35-28!!!
