CENTRAL TEXAS:
Plugerville Hendrickson junior Samaje Perrine rumbled for 297 yards out of the Hawks total 299 rushing yards and Hendrickson remained unbeaten in district play with a 36-14 win over Round Rock. Lake Travis beat Del Valle 31-6 with Baker Mayfield completing 24/34 passes for 279 yards. Aaron Dilworth rushed for 200 yards and scored three times as Plfugerville beat Cedar Ridge 48-14. Jake Hubenak passed for 278 yards and five touchdowns in little over two quarters and Georgeown remained unbeaten, beating Hutto 58-7. 5A’s #3 Cibolo Steele shutout East Central 28-0 with Justin Stockton rushing for 114 yards and three scores. Reagan held off Johnson 24-14 as Elijah Ball rushed for 123 yards. Aron Taylor caught five passes for 127 yards and two touchdowns to lead Warren to a 42-20 win over Stevens. Sealy celebrated the return of injured star Ricky Seals-Jones with a 54-34 win over Columbus. Seals-Jones caught two first half touchdown passes before spraining an ankle in the second a quarter. Jovan Davis rushed for 252 yards for the Tigers and the defense grabbed five interceptions.

WEST TEXAS:
1A stars Dee Paul (Munday) and Hagen Hutchinson (Stamford) were at it again. Paul had two rushing touchdowns and 95 yards and returned a kickoff 90 yards for a td as Munday remained unbeaten, knocking out Muenster 45-10. Huchinson passed for 336 yards, rushed for 98 and accounted for four touchdowns in a 41-7 win over Forsan. Lubbock Estacado edged Seminole 36-28, but not before Seminole QB Jacob Burtch passed for 296 yards and two scores and added two more tds on the ground. Lubbock Monterrey had two rushers over 100 yards as Travon Venton rushed for 217 yards and two touchdowns and Jacob Bartholomae rushed for 149 yards but scored four times. Frenship’s D’Maujeric Tucker rushed for 255 yards and four scores as the Tigers rolled over the Hereford Whitefaces 70-27. 5A’s fifth ranked Abilene Eagles remained unbeaten , beating Odessa 44-6.

DFW:
Red Oak stunned unbeaten Lancaster, shutting out the Tigers 17-0 while holding them to just 125 yards of total offense. Southlake Carroll rolled over Keller 56-7 with Kenny Hill (A&M commit) throwing for 282 and two tds and rushing for 90 yds and three more scores. Desoto remained unbeaten, smashing Duncanville 60-27 with junior QB Desmon White throwing for 292 yards and 6 touchdowns and rushing for 80 and another score. Wylie East beat Royse City 56-14 behind a three pronged attack. QB Garrett McClain threw for 336 yards and four touchdowns, WR Marcel Ateman (Oklahoma State commit) caught three of those td passes and had seven receptions for 198 yards and RB Jabari Anderson rushed for 208 yards and two scores. Not to be undone, Wylie SR. QB Carson Cook threw for 403 yards and three scores as Wylie beat Denison 50-33. Colleyville Heritage QB Cody Thomas (Oklahoma commit) passed for 348 yards and four touchdowns in a 49-7 win over Irving Nimitz. WR Robbie Rhodes (Baylor commit) filled in at QB for FW Southwest, throwing for 122 yards and rushing for 52, but Aledo claimed victory 24-8. Skyline beat Richardson 49-20 as Ole Miss commit Devante Kincade completed 17/22 for 251 yards, rushed for 79 and accounted for three touchdowns.

Arlington Bowie sophomore Tony James had 178 yards of total offense and scored 5 touchdowns and the Vols beat Sam Houston 55-14. Irving’s Jacob Perry rushed for 220 yards and five touchdowns as Irving shutout RL Tuner 54-0. Plano West’s Travis Korry threw for 387 yards and six touchdowns and West beat McKinney 64-36. Kijana Amous rushed for 275 yards and scored four times as Mansfield Legacy beat Arlington Seguin 49-36. St. Mark’s QB John Webb threw for 396 yards and five touchdowns in a 49-7 win over Greenhill. Coppell’s defense forced three first half turnovers and made three defensive stops in a 31-0 shutout of Marcus. Prosper’s defense turned four fumbles into 17 points in a 31-27 win over Little Elm. LE’s Ke’aunn Kinner rushed for 332 yards on 55 carries in a losing cause.

Houston:
Langham Creek’s Connor Feist threw for 397 yards and five touchdowns as LC shutout Cy Springs 63-0. Clear Springs Junior QB Zach Cripps threw for 355 yards and four touchdowns as Springs shutout Clear Falls 45-0. Manvel rolled over Rayburn 49-3 with Old Dominion commit Shane McCarley throwing for 315 yards and six touchdowns. Darius Campbell Lee rushed for 320 yards and five touchdowns to lead Spring to a 48-41 upset over Klein Oak. 4A’s top ranked team Pearland Dawson edged Friendswood 42-33 with A&M commit James White rushing for 203 yards and four touchdowns. St. Pius pounded Beaumont Kelly 63-14 with A&M commit Kohl Stewart throwing for 374 yards and five touchdowns. Vidor got 200 yards rushing from Justin Moore and another 170 yards rushing from Montana Quirante for a 49-13 win over PNG.
In Saturday night games, top-ranked Katy crushed Strake Jesuit 62-7 with sophomore Rodney Anderson scoring three times, as he and backfield mate Adam Taylor (LSU commit) combined for 215 rushing yards. Morton Ranch out slugged Mayde Creek 41-35 as Quandre Washington scored four touchdowns on the ground. Morton rushed for 445 yards as a team and threw only six passes all night. Westfield remained unbeaten, beating Klein Forest 31-6 in a game marred by 20 combined penalties. The Mustang’s Emmitt Raleigh rushed for 120 yards and scored three touchdowns, but had only one run over 7 yards against the tough Forest defense. Cy Ranch rallied for a come-from-behind 31-21 win over Cy Fair and Dayton went to 9-0 with a bruising 13-6 defensive win over Barbers Hill.

East Texas:
Tyler Lee was crushed by Mesquite 51-9. Skeeter QB Alex Cooper threw for 257 yards and five touchdowns. Greg Ward had 262 yards of total offense and 5 touchdowns as John Tyler beat Jacksonville 59-7. White Oak’s Jansen McCurdy had six receptions for 232 yards and two touchdowns and returned a punt 59 yards to paydirt as White Oak upset Troup 38-28. Corsicana’ Donovan Fields rushed for 178 yards and two scores and returned a kickoff 99 yards for another TD as the Tigers beat Lindale 40-22. Navasota, the top ranked team in 3A, shutout Rockdale 43-0, while #3 Kilgore beat defending state champion Chapel Hill 31-2. #10 Gilmer spanked Spring Hill 59-10, scoring off three turnovers,, while Van pounded Brownsboro 70-30 as Matt Savis rushed for 149 yards and three scores. Whitehouse’s Patrick Mahomes hooked up with Texas Tech commit Dylan Cantrell for three touchdown passes as Whitehouse beat Nacogdoches 52-21. Marshall kept their slim playoff hopes alive with a 49-29 win over Pine Tree. Freshman QB Justin Hart passed for 235 yards and three touchdowns for the Mavericks.
