2013 Coaching Change: Caldwell Hornets
Old Head Coach: Kenneth Gilchrist — Leaving for 2A Whitney. He led the Hornets for 1 season to a 1-8 record. He has also been an assistant at Duncanville, Austin Lake Travis, Cameron Yoe and Hempstead.
New Head Coach: Bobby Jack Goforth -- From 5A Northside Jay where he led the Mustangs to a 23-37 record over the past 6 seasons. He has also coached as an an assistant at Mexia and Katy. He played college football at Baylor from 1986-1989. Coach Goforth returns to his alma mater where he played football in Caldwell from 1982-1984 for his dad Bobby Goforth.
Team News: The Hornets back to back 1 win seasons is their worst showing since the 1964-1965 seaons.
