  • Mike Says: The Panthers got into the playoffs last year for the first time since 2004. This years team has 12 starters coming back and should be competitive in the district. They only lost by 1 point to Championship runner up Cedar Hill last season. They are just about ready for that next step but they will need to get by Cedar Hill and DeSoto to do it. Look for them to go 7-3 or 8-2 in the regular season and get that 3rd playoff spot.
  • Chris Says: Midlothian continues their climb us the Texas high school football prestige ladder. Close losses to Waco Hewitt Midway, Cedar Hill and Mansfield prove that these Panthers are a serious contender.  They bring back the bulk of their offense as well as a large portion of their defensive starters.  I think Coach Lee Wiginton has this team convinced they can be winners and will continue to guide them to that next level.  Expect double digit wins this season and to go as far are 2 or 3 rounds deep in the playoffs.
