  • Mike Says:The Bobcats do not bring back a lot of returners but they have a lot of star power and will once again be very good this year. QB Elliott and RB Davis will head up a high scoring offense while DB Brown leads a shut down defense. Look for them to go 8-2 or 9-1 in the regular season and come in 2nd in district behind Argyle. Once in the playoffs, they should go Division II where they will face Gilmer in the Regionals. If they can get bast the Buckeyes then they could be going to their 11th all-time state championship game.
  • Chris Says: Coach Bill Elliott has to be happy with his first season at the helm in Celina.  He graduates a lot of talent, but his son, QB, Nathan Elliott will be at the helm again (only his Junior season) with an excellent cast of talented Bobcats around him.  While we have Celina as the #10 team in 3A, once again their playoff run will be packed with tough teams - none tougher than their projected Regional matchup against Gilmer.  As Mike says, if the Bobcats can get past Gilmer, it looks like clear sailing until they meet up with LaMarque in the title game.  That however, is a big IF.
