  • Mike Says: The Mustangs are back after going 19-12 from 2008-2010 (Spring DeKaney began varsity play in 2008 which split kids between the schools). This years team does not have a lot of returners but they will still be very good behind a top notch offensive line. 13-5A is a very competitive district but look for them to be a favorite to win the title. They may lose a game or two along the way though. Once in the playoffs, they are good to the Regionals.
  • Chris Says:  Spring Westfield really came back to life the last couple of seasons.  This is a squad that was historically a Houston area powerhouse and had fallen on hard times.  The Mustangs of old surged back by sweeping the district and narrowly dropping the Regional title.  They graduated most of that squad, but still seem pretty stacked.  They are likely to repeat as District 13-5A champs and be around 2 or 3 games into the playoffs.

Last Years Record:  12-1 (8-0 in District)
