Mike Says: What a great rivalry this game is. It will feature a 4A team we have going to the Quarterfinals against a 3A team we have picked to go to the championship game. Both teams feature strong running games. It will come down to who can stop the run and that team is Texas City. The Stingarees held 5A Dickinson to 127 total yards and 3 first downs last week. They will not shut down La Marque but they will get the win. The STINGAREES win it 34-28!!

Chris Says: I have been looking forward to this game since I saw what Texas City had returning this year. I said it in the Stingarees Team Preview - Texas City is BACK! Don't get me wrong. I love me some La Marque Cougars football, and I think they are going to be one of the top teams in Class 3A. This game is just so much more important to Texas City as it will prove to the doubters that they are indeed back. If you get a chance, go check it out because this is going to be a fun game for sure. I just have to go with my gut on this one - The STINGAREES move to 2-0 with a 30-26 win!!!

LSG Intern Zach Says: La Marque is one the best in 3A thanks to that offense. Tailback Ladarian Ellis-Jones is a treat to watch carry ball. But I don’t think the Cougars can keep up with the Foreman twins and the rest of the Stingarees on offense. To be honest, I’m not sure anybody can. Stinagrees 45-35.
