Converse Judson at Smithson Valley: Smithson Valley, 45-28

Smithson Valley remained unbeaten at 7-0 with a 45-28 victory over Converse Judson. Garrett Smith threw for 210 yards and a pair of touchdowns and added 52 yards and a score on the ground to lead the Rangers. Cameron Jones chipped in with 66 rushing yards and two touchdowns. For Judson, Brandon Sanders rushed for 101 yards and three touchdowns as the Rockets slipped to 5-2 on the season. RayJohn Austin-Ramsey threw for 208 yards and a score to pace Judson.

Schertz Clements at Buda Hays: Hays, 38-28

Buda Hays knocked off previously unbeaten Schertz Clemens, 38-28. Cody Gandy rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown to lead the way for Hays, who moves to 5-2 on the season with the victory. Quarterback Jeff Jordan threw for a pair of touchdowns and added another on the ground for Hays. Clemens quarterback J.J. Elkins threw for 429 yards and four touchdowns in a losing effort, while Brett Walker caught seven passes for 223 yards and two touchdowns for the Buffaloes.

Cedar Park at Leander Rouse: Cedar Park, 39-14

Cedar Park moved to 6-1 on the season with a 39-14 victory over Leander Rouse in District 25-4A play. Quarterback Nate Grimm threw for 153 yards and a touchdown and added a team-leading 127 rushing yards to lead the Timberwolves. Bill Estevanott and Logan Imbomone both rushed for touchdowns as the Timberwolves piled up 301 rushing yards. Billy Ray McCrary rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown to lead Rouse (6-2).

Marble Falls at Austin Vandegrift: Vandegrift, 31-27

Austin Vandegrift almost succumbed to the upset bug against the aerial attack of Marble Falls but held on for a 31-27 victory to move to 7-1 on the season. Trailing 27-14 in the third quarter, quarterback Jamie Hudson led the charge for the Vipers rushing for 159 yards and three touchdowns. Hudson scored the game-winning touchdown on 9-yard run in the final stanza. Marble Falls sophomore Brennan Wooten, an emerging name on recruiting lists, threw for 226 yards and four touchdowns. Texas commit Garret Gray caught seven passes for 133 yards and two touchdowns for Marble Falls, who fell to 2-5 on the season.

Robinson at Waco Connally: Robinson, 58-55

In a loaded District 17-3A, nothing comes easy. Robinson moved to 7-0 on the season with an exciting 58-55 victory over Waco Connally. Michael Davila threw for 287 yards and three touchdowns for Robinson, while Jerrich Alford rushed for 128 yards and two scores to pace the Rockets. Connally running back Josh Terrell finished with 280 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns to lead the way for the Cadets, who fell to 5-2 on the season with a 1-1 record in district play.
