Welcome to the Party, NFL

We have been talking for the past decade, about how many Texas high school football quarterbacks have gone on to lead college and NFL teams.  It appears that the NFL is taking notice finally.

In an article on NFL.com today, Mike Huguenin breaks down the starting quarterbacks state of original across college football.  It was no surprise to us that Texas (18) leads all states with California (16) coming in 2nd.  The article also lists the starting NFL quarterbacks by state and you guessed it... Texas leads the way there too.

If you actually care about the rest of the country's QB production, you can read Huguenin's complete article here.

Don't look for this trend to end anytime soon as the state of Texas continues to create/attract some amazing quarterbacks.  I'm not trying to dog on the rest of the media world for not paying attention to a trend we have been discussing forever, just welcome them to the party.  Better late than never.

You'll find we here in Texas do know a little something about football.
