2016 USAAB NATIONAL COACH OF THE YEAR AWARD FINALISTS

ROCKAWAY, N.J. (December 28, 2015) — The U.S. Army All-American Bowl Selection Committee has announced the six finalists for the 2016 USAAB National Coach of the Year Award. The Coach of the Year will be announced during the U.S. Army All-American Awards Show on Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, in San Antonio. The award honors the nation’s top high school football coach for exceptional coaching abilities and leadership skills, as well as acknowledging his role as a positive influence to young Americans on and off the field.

“The ability to lead is a highly valued trait, and one that is of utmost importance to the U.S. Army,” said Mark S. Davis, deputy assistant secretary of the Army for marketing. “These coaches exemplify superb leadership skills in training, educating and guiding their players both on and off the field. We’re proud to recognize these coaches and congratulate them on this honor.”

For 16 years, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl has been the nation’s premier high school football game, serving as the preeminent launching pad for America’s future college and National Football League (NFL) stars. Andrew Luck, Odell Beckham Jr., Jamaal Charles and Derrick Henry made their national debuts as U.S. Army All-Americans, and a total of five U.S. Army All-American Bowl alumni were drafted in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft. The 2015 U.S. Army All-American Bowl drew a crowd of 35,687 to the Alamodome.

The U.S. Army All-American Bowl is owned and produced by All American Games, a New Jersey-based sports marketing and event management company.
