How did the top teams do in Week 6?

LSG 2016 Rankings

(bookmark this page because it will be updated every week)

That will show you how the top teams fared, but as always, there were some surprises. Here are a few teams to watch as they might be moving towards the top of the rankings.

Teams to Watch

6A - Southlake Carroll (4-1) - The Dragons now have wins over Arlington Martin and Euless Trinity after dropping their opener against an out of state opponent. With the win over Euless, the Dragons should end the season as the district champion with a 9-1 record.

5A - Angleton (5-1) - I featured district mate Richmond Foster here last week. District 27-5A is a good one to watch. The Wildcats beat Victoria East last week in a great game. Their game against Foster in 3 weeks should be for the district title. I will say the Wildcats will finish the regular season with a 8-2 record and come in 2nd in the district.

4A - Henderson (6-0) - The Lions have been rolling and beating some very good competition. Their closest game was an 8 point win over Top 10 Carthage last week. Look for the Lions to continue their winning ways. The only team that can challenge them the rest of the way is Kilgore.

3A - Cameron Yoe (5-1) - Raise your hand if you counted Yoe out after their 50 point loss with a new head coach to China Spring. They have bounced back big time getting a win over Top 10 and district mate Franklin last week. Their biggest remaining challenge will be rival Rockdale and they should get past that and finish the regular season with a 9-1 record.

2A - Iraan (6-0) - I know...they are #1 so why do we need to watch out for them. They just took out a Top 5 team in a whole class above them (3A DII). This team is very good.
