High School Football Hall of Fame Banquet, Saturday in Waco

The 2019 Texas High School Football Hall of Fame banquet will be held Saturday, May 4 at 6 p.m. at Baylor University’s Ferrell Center.
The star-studded class is highlighted by former Waco High and Baylor great Ken Casner, current Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson of Palestine, and former Houston Oilers safety Ken Houston of Lufkin Dunbar. The rest of the class includes Coahoma’s Putt Choate, Daingerfield’s Willie Everett, Stephenville’s Jason Bragg, the late Sealy head coach T.J. Mills, former Groveton, Waxahachie and Plano East coach Scott Phillips, and TV executive Jon Heidtke.
In addition to the lineup of of history-making former Texas high school football players, Chris Doelle and Dr. Charles Breithaupt the authors of ROCKET MAN: The Story of D.W. Rutledge and the Judson High School Football Dynasty will be on-hand with their book. Coach D.W Rutledge himself will be there signing the best-selling book. The trio will be available for signing book before at the Texas Sports Hall of Fame (1108 S University Parks Dr, Waco, TX 76706) as well as at the Ferrell Center prior to the start of the banquet.
