Mike Says: Lufkin comes in at 1-1 for our games of the week. They are a very good team as we picked them to be in the 5A Division II Championship game this year. Their pre-district schedule was brutal with games against Tyler John Tyler, Tyler Lee and Longview. Thw Woodlands comes in undefeated but they have not played as tough a schedule. They did win close ones over Fort Bend Hightower and Tyler Lee though. Even though The Woodlands have won the last 2 meetings, this one will not be close. The PANTHERS win 31-14!!!

Chris Says: The Lufkin Panthers are BEASTS!  The Woodlands Highlanders are UNDEFEATED!  Something has to give.  Sure, you could look at the fact that against similar opponents Lufkin did slightly better each time.  Sure, you could look at the fact that the Highlanders have scored 60+ more points that Lufkin.  In the end though, this one is in Lufkin and that is one tall order for The Woodlands, when in their only road game, they managed to win by just one touchdown.  After a brutal run featuring 4 of 5 games on the road, Lufkin is ready to show the home crowd some fireworks.  The Lufkin PANTHERS win 35-17!!!
