Hemphill’s QB Twine Goes Into The History Books

Hemphill’s Sophomore quarterback, Justin Twine ran for the second most yards in high school history in week one as Hemphill defeated Pineland West Sabine 77-56. Twine had 21 carries for an amazing 534 yards and 6 touchdowns. That puts him at #2 on the all-time list for rushing yards in a game.

2011 Coaching Change: Hemphill Hornets

Old Head Coach: Tommy Hall — Leaving after leading the Hornets for six seasons going 25-37 overall.

New Head Coach: Ken Stanley — Was an assistant coach at 5A Humble Atascocita.
