Sam Carter Will Take Over At QB At Katy Morton Ranch

Quarterback Sam Carter who was to lead Houston Sharpstown to one of their best seasons ever is now leading Katy Morton Ranch.
Sharpstown was 6-5 playing in class 4A last season while Katy Morton Ranch was 6-4 in class 5A. Carter has scholarship offers from Baylor, Houston, New Mexico, Oklahoma State SMU and TCU. This is a huge blow to the Apollos. On the other hand, 17-5A just became a little more competitive.

Freshman (2006) 77-184 41.8% 975 yards 6 TD's 5 INT's
Sophomore (2007) 150-278 54.0% 2,085 yards 23 TD's 10 INT's 739 rushing yards 5.9 avg 7 TDs
Junior (2008) 131-287 45.6% 1,759 yards 19 TD's 11 INT's 1,021 rushing yards 5.6 avg 9 TDs
