Mike Says: Flower Mound Marcus has been getting by this year winning overtime games against Flower Mound and Plano West in back to back weeks. Allen is 1-0 in our Games Of The Week having beaten Longview earlier. Other sites are dropping Allen in the rankings just because they have played some close games. We don't have them #1 but we do have them #2. The Eagles feature a very good pass/catch duo in QB Alec Morris (1357 passing 19 TDs) and WR Andrew Rodriguez (34-646 19.00 9 TDs). This game is like Thunderdome...2 undefeated teams enter...1 undefeated team leaves. That team is Allen as the EAGLES win 35-21!!!

Chris Says: It is good to see that the rest of the state has caught up to the fact that Allen is NOT the best team in the nation, but ONE of the best teams in Texas. That said, the Marauders of Marcus have to be screaming, "Hey what are we? Chopped liver?" Both teams are undefeated and both teams are taking care of business. This game is clearly the district championship in 8-5A. Flower Mound Marcus has managed to do just enough to win while Allen has performed better when comparing like opponents. Is Allen a better team that Flower Mound Marcus? Yes. Will Marcus be one of the stronger non-district winners come playoff time? Yes. Will this game be a tie? No! The Allen EAGLES get the win 34-28!!!
