Week 6: Great Games & Great Finishes

Keller Central 21, Denton Guyer 14
Central's Zack Sanchez scored on receptions of 81 and 66 yards and also returned an interception 85 yards for another touchdown. Guyer won this game 47-20 last year. The win guaranteed Central its first winning season. They began varsity play in 2004.

Mathis 21, Aransas Pass 14
Mathis led this one 21-0 entering the 4th quarter in this battle of unbeaten teams. Aransas Pass made it interesting but could not get that last touchdown to tie it up.

Dallas Highland Park 24, Wylie 21
Dallas Highland Park stormed back from a 21-0 first half Wylie lead to get head coach Randy Allen his 299th all-time victory. The Scots last scored their go ahead TD with only 20 seconds left in the game. Dallas Highland Park wide receiver William Morris had 4 catches for 74 yards in the game. For the season his totals are 38 receptions for 558 yards and 10 TDs. Highland Park has now won all 14 meetings over Wylie.

Carthage 23, Pittsburg 16 OT
Carthage kicked a 23 field goal to tie the game and send it to overtime. From there Carthage scored first and then held Pittsburg. Carthage has now won all 4 games against Pittsburg since 2006.

Milano 14, Burton 13
Burton trailed this game 14-0 entering the 4th quarter. Burton came back and scored with 1:53 remaining to make it 14-13. They lined up for an extra point but it was a fake. The fake came up 1 yard short and Milano got the victory.

San Antonio Wagner 20, Converse Judson 10
Wanger was able to pull off this big upset in front of 8000 fans. This was Wagners 2nd victory over Judson since they began varsity play in 2006.
