Mike Says: The Cougars are set to be the team to beat in Class 3A. They have a lot of returning stars like RB JR Ladarrian Ellis-Jones, OL Marquez Baker and LB Val Allen. Look for them to win 9 or 10 games in the regular season. I am really looking forward to their match-up against Texas City this year. Coldspring will be their main competition in the Region. This could very well be one of the teams in the Division II Championship game this year.

Chris Says: La Marque failed to live up to the crown people placed on their heads before last year started, but still turned in an excellent season. Look for great matchups between them and Texas City as well as Coldspring-Oakhurst again, but after that, their District 24-3A opponents won't offer much challenge. If Coach Mike Jackson can keep them playing at a high level once they get past the easy games, we could see a run to the title game and possibly their 11th state championship appearance.
