Episode Description:

This episode Marc and Matt talk to Ethan Sloan (2023, WR, Gunter High school) and his parents Justin and Stacee. Ethan is a rising wide receiver prospect in the 8th grade this year but is building his resume as he heads into 2019. Ethan shares his thoughts on his career up to now and how his game is beginning to take off. Matt talks to Ethan about his experience last year with Goon Squad 7on7, and how playing with his new 7on7 team Texas Flex is elevating his game. Marc talks to Ethan about playing football in Gunter, TX, an area in North Texas know for high school football talent. Ethan also describes what type of extra training he gets outside of his normal football activities. Gunter High School football won a state championship title in 2016.

Ethan’s parents, Stacee and Justin join Matt and Marc to discuss each one of their roles in Ethan’s life and football career. Justin begins by telling Matt and Marc how long he has coached Ethan from Pop Warner, to Middle School, and assisting Ethan in selecting a competitive 7on7 team. Justin gives valuable insight from a parent's perspective on how much support is needed when trying to help a student-athlete get the exposure they need as a high school football player.

Ethan’s mom Stacee, calls in from Belize to describe how much she has seen Ethan grow as a young man, as well as a football player. Stacee talks about how Trainer/wide receiver specialist David (D Rob) Robinson @drobalwaysopen, has trained Ethan and how much his game has improved and how D Rob has played a role in being a mentor off the field for Ethan. Stacee also tells Matt and Marc how Coach O Recruiting (@simplyCoachO) has been a guide for them as a family in assisting Ethan with the college recruiting process.
