Mike Says: This is the year Denton Ryan makes it to the title game. They have been knocked out in the Semfinals 3 consecutive seasons by Dallas Highland Park. Alvin Shadow Creek had an amazing first varsity season last year going 15-1 and making it to the title game. It will be a difficult task to repeat. Frisco Lone Star and Richmond Foster would be a great title game to see also.

Chris Says: Denton Ryan is our consensus preseason #1 (It scares me when we all agree on a team haha.) As you can see, we are knotted up when it comes to Dallas Highland Park and Frisco Lone Star. Alvin Shadow Creek graduated a lot of key players but as 2018 Class 5A Coach of the Year Brad Butler says in their 2019 Team Preview, "offensively, we lost a lot of key pieces. Also, don't be surprised to see Hutto still standing the last week of the season.
